Privacy Policy

Effective September 5, 2026 · Applies to amex-roofing.com

1. Who we are

Amex Roofing (dba Amex Construction), CSLB #968341, is a licensed roofing contractor located at 14215 Story Rd, San Jose, CA 95127. You can call (510) 761-8120, text us, or email amexroofingca@gmail.com. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact and booking details that you submit through our forms, including your name, phone number, email address, property address, requested visit date and time, and notes.
  • Address-search text. After you type at least three characters in the property-address field, the partial text and your selected website language are sent through our server to Google Places to return address predictions. This can occur before you choose a prediction or submit the booking form.
  • Website and device data, such as IP address, request and security logs, pages viewed, referring page, browser or device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interactions with the website.
  • Optional blog-update details. If a blog-update signup is offered and you use it, we collect the email address and related signup records shown at the time.

3. How we use your information

To help prevent repeat inspection requests, this website saves a request identifier, its status and timestamps in your browser. This browser record contains no name, address, phone number or form contents. If receipt is uncertain, it remains until you report that Amex confirmed the request was not received, or you clear your browser storage. Clearing it does not cancel a request already sent. Online requests require browser storage; you can call or text us if storage is unavailable.

We use the information you provide to schedule and confirm visits, answer questions, prepare a written scope of work, perform work you hire us to do, and keep records required of a licensed California contractor.

We use website and device data to operate and protect the site, prevent abuse, understand site use, and measure whether an inspection request followed an advertisement. If you separately sign up for blog updates, entering an email in the booking form does not add it to that list.

4. Services that process information

  • Vercel hosts the website and its server functions, maintains technical logs, and provides Vercel Web Analytics.
  • Our cloud Postgres database, currently provided by Neon, stores hashed rate-limit identifiers, booking idempotency hashes and appointment-slot coordination metadata. It may also temporarily store calendar-notification payloads while an internal Discord alert is pending or being retried.
  • Google Places processes partial address-search text to return predictions. See the Website Terms and Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Calendar receives booking details used to create and manage an inspection appointment.
  • Discord receives an internal booking alert so our team can respond. If our optional Make automation is configured, Make also receives booking details to route the request.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile, when enabled on a form, processes browser and network signals such as IP address, device information, and website origin to distinguish people from automated programs. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
  • Google Fonts is requested from Google’s servers only when a Chinese-language page loads (for the Noto Sans SC typeface); English pages serve their fonts from this site. Google receives the standard information sent with that web request, which can include an IP address, browser information, and the referring site’s origin.
  • Google Tag Manager and Google Ads load measurement tags and process the site activity described below.

5. Advertising measurement and collection across websites

Google Ads conversion measurement and its conversion-linker feature may read or store cookies or similar browser storage. They may process page URLs, referring pages, IP address, browser or device information, advertising-click identifiers, website interactions, and an event indicating that a booking request succeeded. Google and other parties may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites or services. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google My Ad Center.

Vercel Web Analytics processes site-usage information to provide aggregated traffic and performance reports. Vercel’s handling of that information is described in the Vercel Privacy Policy.

Contact and booking details are disclosed to the providers identified above when needed to operate the website, process an inspection request, protect the service, or perform related business administration. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people, property, or legal rights.

6. Do Not Track and your choices

This website does not currently change its analytics or advertising-measurement behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal. You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies and use Google My Ad Center to manage Google advertising settings. Blocking browser storage may affect some website functions.

You can ask what information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep. If a blog-update list is offered, each message will explain how to unsubscribe. Call (510) 761-8120, text us, email amexroofingca@gmail.com, or write to the address above.

7. Retention and security

We retain booking and job records for as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide requested services, administer the business, resolve disputes, and meet legal record-keeping duties. Technical, security, analytics, and provider records are kept according to operational needs, account settings, and each provider’s applicable practices. Information sent between your browser and this site is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Database maintenance is designed to remove delivered and shadow calendar-notification records after 30 days, clear the payload from a dead-letter notification after 7 days, and remove the remaining dead-letter metadata after 90 days. Cleanup timing depends on scheduled maintenance. Rate-limit and booking-coordination records have separate operational retention periods; these records contain hashed identifiers and coordination metadata rather than a second copy of the booking form.

8. Children

This website is intended for adults arranging construction services. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version and effective date will appear here. For a material change, we will also place a notice on the website or use another method reasonably designed to bring the change to the attention of affected visitors before it takes effect, when appropriate.
